Balayage & Ombré
Balayage is “a technique for highlighting hair in which the dye is painted on in such a way as to create a graduated, natural-looking effect” (Dictionary.com) derived from a French word meaning 'to sweep' or 'to paint'. It allows for a sun-kissed natural-looking hair colour.

The hair world borrowed the term 'ombre' from the French word meaning shaded or shading. Ombre hair colour is generally darker at the roots through the mid-shaft and then gradually gets lighter from the mid-shaft to the ends. It is usually achieved using a balayage technique and is ideal for clients looking for a low-maintenance style.
